How to combine 3 seperate pinata together into snowman?

snowman
I accidentally made 3 separate pinata and now i am having difficulties to make it into 1 snowman. How can i paste or combine all the 3 pinata together? It is dried now. Please help me as i am running out of time. And I couldn’t figure out how to make a solid base for it to stand as it is oval/round in shape. Thank you!

It looks like you’ve decorated with cotton (which looks really nice, by the way!), so here’s what I would do.   Before you start, find a large mixing bowl to set the bottom snowball on.  That will serve as a base and keep things from rolling around while you work.

First, make sure the hanging hook is installed in the top of the biggest snowball.  I would use a long line of some kind — a wire or a rope — that runs from the inside top of the bottom snowball all the up way through the snowman and out the top.  Don’t just use a string for this because it will have to support the weight of the piñata through all the bashing and you don’t want it to break.

Then cut a round hole in the bottom of the middle snowball and set it on top of the bottom one.  Start with a small hole (a couple inches in diameter), and keep making it larger until the middle snowball sits just right on top of the bottom snowball.  This was how I combined the two sections of the Pirates of the Caribbean skull into one piece.  You can see pictures here: http://pinataboy.com/gallery/pirates-of-the-caribbean-pinata/

When you’ve got the hole the right size, tear off the cotton from both pieces where the two snowballs meet and tape them together using masking tape.  If you have time, you can reinforce the bond using papier mâché, but if there’s no time for that, just try to attach them as firmly as you can using masking tape.

Then repeat the process to attach the head to the body, and then cover up the masking tape with cotton.  If you don’t cover the masking tape with papier mâché the joints will be weak spots, but depending on the age of the kids, you might want that.  Each section of the snowman can then be filled with candy and toys.  Just be careful not to put too much weight in the top two sections.  You want the bottom section to be the heaviest.

Good luck, and happy holidays!
