Durability

Hi!
So, I’m about to make my first pinata, and I’m just wondering if it’s to early to make it 20 days before the day of the party? Thank you!

Answer from Piñata Boy

That would be no problem at all, so long as you store it somewhere where bugs won’t get to it. Bugs love to eat the flour in the papier mâché, so if you store the piñata in your garage or in a garden shed it will likely attract bugs who will lay their eggs in it. Keeping it in the house for three weeks should be no problem at all — I’ve kept piñatas indoors for six months or more with no problems. The papier mâché itself will last for years.

Good luck!
