what is the balance of a pinata

i want to know how much pinata weight.

Answer from Piñata Boy

Most piñatas weigh only a pound or two when empty, but they can easily weigh 10 lbs or more when full.  That’s why it’s important to make sure you have a secure hanging hook — almost any kind of hanging hook will work for an empty piñata, but once it’s full, many of them will tear through the papier mâché (especially if you pull on the rope to raise and lower the piñata).

You can find out the weight of a small piñata by placing it on a postal scale (they usually go up to 5 lbs), and for a larger piñata or a filled piñata just stand on a bathroom scale while holding it, and then weigh yourself without the piñata and calculate the difference.

The heaviest empty piñata I ever made was either the Rainbow Zebra or the Jaguar.  The Zebra was larger, but the Jaguar had thicker walls.  The heaviest filled piñata was definitely the Jaguar — it was completely packed with candy and toys and weighed 50 lbs!  We had to use a moveable pulley system when we hung it because 50 lbs was too heavy to raise and lower by pulling the rope.
