I made this last year, and I wish I had seen your site first! I used cardboard boxes and it definitely was too hard to break, even for 9- and 10-year-olds. It was cute though, and I spent hours and hours decorating it. I almost shed a tear when they destroyed it. The best part was that it dropped TNT just like it does in the game. I had champagne poppers and boxes of whipper snappers inside the pinata! Boy, did that make a mess in our basement.
