This is a death star from star wars i made for my husband.
I couldnt find a balloon round enough or big enough to make it so i used my son’s bouncy ball. i covered it with newspaper then paper mached over the newspaper.
to make it look like the incomplete death star i cut out the parts and then had to reinforce the inside with cardboard so it didnt break so easily. Took alot of experimenting to get it looking alright.
I then just painted the outside for i felt it would look better painted then decorated with crape paper.
i then took our pinata stick and turned it into a lightsaber using crape paper.
on the inside i had added mini clone troopers which i had made by painting lil plastic army men white then using a black permament marker drew on details.

That’s so cool! Grown ups don’t get their own piñatas very often, and I love your idea of making clone troopers out of green army men. I’ll bet they looked hilarious falling out of the broken Death Star.
