I followed Pinata Boy’s instructions to make this shark pinata. Unfortunately, I didn’t think about weight distribution once the candy was rolling around inside so I had to tie a bungee around it. But other than that, this shark pinata was a huge hit and about six kids were able to hit it before it completely broke apart.

Beautiful job! I had the same problem with my shark piñata, by the way — the body of the piñata was was one long horizontal candy compartment, and during the whacking the candy moved toward the mouth and the shark hung face-downward. You can see this in the party pictures on the shark piñata page (http://pinataboy.com/gallery/shark-pinata/). The kids didn’t mind, of course! They laughed and kept swinging away. When I made the dolphin, I made three separate compartments in the body instead of one long one, and that prevented the weight from redistributing.
