I am making a large number one pinata and I’m wondering where to cut the hole for the candy since it will be hung from the top
Answer from Piñata Boy
The hole for the candy doesn’t have to be at the top, it just has to be high enough up the side that candy won’t fall out while it’s being whacked. If the number 1 piñata is like a tall column, you’ll want to make the candy door as small as possible. I’ve made candy holes so small sometimes that the candy had to be put in one piece at a time. If the candy door is too big, it can weaken that side enough to create a “hinge” in the piñata, and one well-placed whack or one violent tilt can cause the other sides to crack at that point. Good luck!
