For my brother-in-law’s birthday, I wanted my kids to make him something, but I didn’t want him burdened with some crummy toddler-crafted art work that he would have to keep around forever. Hence the thought that a piñata would be fun and consumable. We decided to make two piñatas the shapes of my brother-in-law and his wife. The kids loved decorating Uncle Adam and Auntie Lauren — and especially knocking their heads around with the bat later. 🙂
Also, the tips and techniques here have been WONDERFUL for building our first piñatas. Thank you!!

Not only is that hilarious, it’s also a great bonding activity for your kids toward their aunt and uncle (and vice versa)! That’s a fantastic idea, and a great job on the piñatas, too!
