I recently finished Olaf for a friend. He’s made out of 3 balloons and a paper mache mix of flour, water and salt.
for my hangers, I make a small pc of plywood, drill holes in it, and hot glue it on the inside. Then I run a zip-tie through it and the pinata. I then re-enforce on the top with more paper mache. So far we have not had any break at that point. This is the 10th pinata I’ve made in a year and have many more ordered. I make them all using the balloon method. I learn something new with each one and no two are the same.
