My daughter is having a nisse themed birthday party and would like a mushroom pinata. We have a giant metal bowl that I would like to use as the form for the top of the pinata. Do I need to oil the metal bowl or anything to prevent the paper from sticking? Thanks!

I’ve never laid papier mâché onto metal before so I don’t know if it would stick or not, but as a precaution I would wrap the bowl in one layer of dry newspaper, or else wrap it in ordinary kitchen plastic wrap before laying down strips of papier mâché. Don’t use oil or anything like that, because it’ll end up on the inside of the piñata.
